As a nutritionist, food educator, cook and MasterChef Australia runner-up, Georgia Barnes has made quite the name for herself in the hospitality industry.
Born and bred in Redland Bay, Georgia spent countless hours at the kitchen bench cooking alongside her mother and grandmother, standing on two phone books until she was tall enough to reach the counter top on her own.
Growing up, she also spent a lot of time with her family fishing and crabbing in the waters off Moreton Bay.
Her childhood fascination with food inspired her to complete a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutrition, which led to a career in the health and wellness industry where she began writing recipes and conducting workshops.

Georgia became a household name after appearing on Network Ten’s reality cooking competition MasterChef Australia in 2015, where she impressed the judges and viewers with her creativity and infectious personality. Her talent in the kitchen saw her don the apron for the Grand Finale, where she placed second.
Fans may have also spotted Georgia on other television shows including the Seven Network’s The Morning Show, plus Studio 10, Ben’s Menu and Toasted TV on Network Ten.
Georgia is passionate about helping people, businesses and brands find their confidence in the kitchen through recipe and menu development, cooking demonstrations, interactive workshops and cooking classes, private food and nutrition consultancy, food styling, photography, and social media collaborations.
