Shining a light on the delicious products sourced from her own “backyard” is what makes the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival one of Dominique Rizzo’s favourite events.
The celebrity chef, author and presenter from Brisbane will make Moreton Bay’s bounty of amazing, fresh produce the focus of her meals when she takes to the stage.
With a reputation for inspiring people to create healthy meals using fresh, seasonal, and local produce, Dominique says her aim is to connect growers and producers with consumers during each of her demonstrations.
My job will be to bring their ingredients, products, and stories to life through my food.

All ABOUT DOMINIQUE RIZZO
Renowned as one of Queensland’s leading female chefs, Dominique Rizzo has been gracing our kitchens and lounge rooms for more than three decades.
As a chef with a Sicilian and Australian background, Dominique is passionate about inspiring others to cook with fresh, seasonal, and local produce, with her work and life centering around the philosophy “through the sharing of food we share life, and one is never hungry or lonely”.
Dominique has featured on dozens of cooking programs and was also an original cast member of Network Ten’s Ready Steady Cook.
Her cookbook, titled ‘My Taste of Sicily,’ is a must have for anyone who loves Italian food. Inside, there are more than 200 recipes that have been lovingly passed down through generations or collected on one of her frequent trips to her family’s homeland.
With a passion to share her heritage with others, Dominique runs her own bespoke Gourmet Food and Wine Tours, where she takes guests on an unforgettable journey to some of the Mediterranean’s most exotic and delicious locations in Sicily and the surrounding islands.
She also launched her own hands-on cooking school called The Urban Feast Cooking School, which brings a splash of the Mediterranean to Brisbane’s northside, where she currently lives.
