COVID Safe

Public health and safety is our number one priority at Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival.

Here is how we're working hard to keep you and our beloved festival fam safe.

Our team have been working alongside Queensland Health to ensure that the festival is delivered in line with all COVID Safe requirements and is operating under a COVID-Safe Event Plan.

Festival entry over the weekend is not guaranteed if you haven't secured a ticket. Due to COVID-19, the festival site will be operating at a lower capacity and if reached, entry will be refused. The only way to secure your entry is buy purchasing a ticket online.

To protect our festival patrons, we have implemented the following measures with your safety in mind:

  • Moved the festival to a location that can implement increased safety protocols onsite including crowd management strategies and contact-tracing of all event attendees via a ticketing strategy
  • Increased on-ground hygiene including regular and thorough cleaning schedules of cleaning staff ensuring all festival surfaces are disinfected, as well as the provision of hygiene stations for patrons to use

To protect yourself and those also enjoying the festival around you, please ensure you:

  • Practice social distancing at all times by keeping 1.5m away from others (those not in your immediate group)
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes
  • Regularly wash your hands

If you are joining us at this year's MBFW, please ensure you observe and follow the guidelines set out by Queensland Health and do not attend if you:

  • Are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms
  • Have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • Have tested positive for COVID-19
  • Traveled to any declared COVID-19 hotpot in the past 14 days

If you are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms, you could be refused entry or asked to leave.

In the case that an outbreak of COVID-19 occurs in Queensland, which includes sustained community transmission or restrictions impacting and/or limiting gatherings, events, and activities, the festival may be canceled by Queensland's Chief Health Officer at short notice. In this scenario, event patrons will be advised via email should any restrictions or cancellations be imposed.
